about Dr. Lisa M. Sanchez

Lisa’s vision in creating Sanchez System began at an early age after witnessing her grandmother’s healing abilities. This experience would later prove to be the spark igniting Lisa’s true interest in healing the body.

Lisa was born in Indiana where her interest in sports, biomechanics and science first began. Lisa’s athleticism and accolades in basketball and tennis earned her inductions into the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame, East Chicago Hall of Fame and the Ventura Hall of Fame as “Female Athlete of the Year.”

After sustaining many injuries during competition including a ruptured achilles and repeated sprained ankles, her spinal injury proved to be her biggest challenge. Her Doctor prescribed chiropractic, physical therapy and massage but nothing seemed to alleviate her back and hip pain. After reading her MRI, Doctors told her she could never be active again. Facing surgery as the only solution, Lisa became determined to find a way to avoid it. This led her to study Sportsmedicine, Neuromuscular Therapy, Chinese Medicine and Herbal Therapy. These combined modalities provide the missing piece and best solution for Lisa’s patients today. Lisa currently uses these same powerful healing modalities in her practice, creating sustainable healing experiences and amazing pain relief.

Lisa believes, “self-awareness and balance is the key to health and fitness.” Lisa continues to enjoy, playing basketball, hiking, running, surfing and above all helping others stay functionally active, mobile and healthy.

apprentice Steve Tong

Steve Tong is a Massage Therapist who is currently an apprentice studying Neuromuscular Therapy (NMT) and Kinetic Link Training (KLT) Exercise Therapy at Sanchez System©.

Steve obtained his Massage Therapy Certification from California Healing Arts College in 2009. In 2010 he began his practice as a Massage Therapist at Century West Chiropractic. While working at Century West his interest in treating chronic pain and injuries flourished. Between 2014 and 2017 he built his practice at Massage Therapy Center.

Looking to elevate his skill and profession, Steve found his inspiration when he became an apprentice at Sanchez System© in 2015. “The depths of the apprenticeship program have elevated my skills and profession to a new level. My newfound understanding of the body’s biomechanics, myofascial release and functional mobility continue to benefit and inspire my clients each and every day. Clients experience results that have been unachievable through Massage Therapy alone.”

Steve’s (NMT) and (KLT) knowledge along with his National Academy of Sports Medicine (N.A.S.M.) certification gives his clients the edge they have been searching for.

Steve is currently taking new clients at Sanchez System©.
